Visit the Ewing Farm, home of the Book Arts League to see the presses in action. Enjoy refreshments, watch Letterpress printing demonstrations, participate in book arts demos. They will have some items for sale, too.

This event will be followed by the first ever Movie Night from 3:30-5:30pm.

Come join your friends and fellow book arts lovers at the first ever book arts movie night. We’ll be projecting a classic movie that covers some of the most interesting aspects of the book arts and related fields. This time we’ll be showing Helvetica, “Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which recently celebrated its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. Helvetica has been shown at over 200 film festivals, museums, design conferences, and cinemas worldwide” Co-sponsored in part by ScriptaLab at the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries, scriptalab.org .

FREE and open to the public–all invited!
